How to connect to your MT5 account

This guide explains how to connect to your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account using the credentials you received by email after purchasing a Stradger challenge.

Step 1: Open MT5

Launch MetaTrader 5 on your computer.

In the top menu, click:

File → Open an Account

Step 2: Find the broker server

In the search field, type the name of the server you received by email.

Select the server you received by email from the list.

Then click Next.

⚠ If you don’t see it, make sure MT5 is up to date and that you typed the name correctly.

Step 3: Log in with existing account

Choose “Connect with an existing trade account”.

Enter the credentials you received by email:

  • Login (account number)

  • Password

  • Server (exactly as provided)

Click Finish.

Step 4: Check the connection

If the login is successful:

  • You’ll see price charts loading

  • The connection status will appear in the bottom-right corner of MT5

You’re now connected and ready to trade.

Optional: Trade directly from your browser

You can also trade without installing MT5.

In the credentials email you received, you’ll find a Terminal link.

Simply:

  1. Open the link in your browser

  2. Log in using the same login and password

  3. Start trading instantly from your browser

This option is useful if you’re on a different computer or don’t want to install MT5.

If you can’t connect:

  • Double-check the login, password, and server

  • Make sure you selected the right server

  • Restart MT5 and try again
